It started with our wedding
When we started planning our wedding, the decision fatigue was real. The last thing we wanted was one more list of decisions, this time about which physical things we needed in our lives.
Building a registry full of gifts that are heartfelt and will actually get used is harder than it sounds. We talked with several brides who told us the same story: closets full of registry gifts they have never touched.
That is why we made Heirloomish. Our goal is to give you a little foresight into what your future life together might look like. It isn't always easy to picture the things that will add the most value to your life, and our quiz is built to help you do exactly that.
Giving guests the story behind the gift
Most guests are thrilled to buy something for the couple they love. Giving them a bit more context makes for a better shopping experience, and it adds something the registry process often lacks: connection. Registries can feel like a task to check off, and they aren't personal by nature.
Heirloomish makes that touch of personalization easy. Each pick comes with a note that gives guests a small window into the life you and your partner are building, the kind of detail that sparks conversation at the wedding. The step before your registry
The registry space is crowded, and frankly, there are already some great registry services out there. Heirloomish isn't meant to replace them. It's meant to work alongside them, as the step before your registry.
Right now, few if any registries let a site like ours add items to your registry automatically. We'll keep making that easier as those tools become available. For now, think of Heirloomish as an idea generator and filter that helps you build a more meaningful registry, one that serves you and your partner for years to come.
